Meek Mill Poster.

This poster also uses a lot of the same things as the album cover, including the font, background and colours, this is to give instant recognition of the album after seeing the poster, the artist is attempting to make a brand with the name of his album which is 'Dreams And Nightmares', this is because his previous two mixtapes have been called 'Dreamchasers' and 'Dreamchasers 2', with a mixtape being released after this album called 'Dreamchasers 3' the name of the album links to his previous work. We can tell a lot about this artist by the colours on the poster, we can see that his name is coloured in white, this suggests his innocence, this could date back to his youth, when he was a drug dealer, this is where the red comes from as it suggests to us that there is an element of danger in that, which is accurate, the white used could be telling us that he had no other way of  earning money, it's all he could do. The word dreams looks like it has a background of clouds, this is put in place because of the association between dreams and clouds. All of this tells us things about the artist, which appeals to an intended target audience helping to sell the album when released.

2 Chainz Poster.

This is a poster advertising an upcoming album from rapper 2 Chainz. Artwork from the actual album cover is used on this poster, this is probably a good idea as you cannot see the rapper anywhere on the front cover of the album, so by putting him on the poster the audience may not be aware of the actual CD. Of course the image on the poster links directly to the artist as it is an image of two Cuban link chains, this obviously links to the artist as his stage name is 2 Chainz. The rapper has attempted to create a brand by using the phrase 'T.R.U' on this poster and for the name of his album 'Based On A T.R.U Story', when listening to his songs, he says TRU in almost every song he makes or features on, the use of the phrase on his début album shows us that the rapper is trying to use this reference to associate himself with this saying in everyday life so people are easily reminded of him, which has worked.

Planning The Performance.

When planning my music video I thought about some of the locations that I would like to use, and one of the first places I could think of was a studio, this is mainly because I had seen this in one of my favourite music videos by Kirko Bangz, and as I was doing same a song of the same genre I thought it would be a good idea to have the same kind of shot in my video.

Also when thinking about locations, I thought shooting some footage outside and inside a basketball court would be good for my video as the theme of basketball can be linked with the genre, also in the song the artist mentions being at a basketball court, so I thought this would work well. To get the right type of shots I looked at a video by J. Cole, where the majority of the shots in the video are around a basketball court, this was very helpful.

me> To get feedback on my video I used social networking site Twitter, a lot of other feedback I got from people was telling me to make some of the shots lighter, especially around the basketball court as it was slightly hard to see, I did listen to these points people had made about my video and re filmed these shots, this improved my video a lot, I was also told that some shots were slightly long, so I filmed some more footage of people dancing.

Editing Digipack Images.

This is me making the smoke-like effect for the one of the covers of the digipack. This is done by drawing a line with the paint brush, after this you use the smudge tool to smudge it together making it look like smoke, this can be seen better in the finished insude cover.

Here I am putting a picture of the main artist on to an image of downtown Philadelphia.

Here I am editing the inside cover.
Editing the back cover.

Screenshots From Editing Process.

Here, I am adding a fade effect to a number of shots at the end of the video, I am doing this so what's happening on screen matches the music, as the song fades out a number of times towards the end.

This shows me cutting down one of the shots in the video to make sure the video still fits with the lyrics.

Here, I am putting a black and white effect on the shot from the chorus of the video, I felt this would be a nice effect to put on this shot, also without it I thought the original could have been slighlty overwhelming.

Music Video Rough Cut.

After putting my music video together, I noticed that the lighting on some of the shots was to dark, particularly those shot at a basketball court. This means that I will have to go out and reshoot these shots. I might also add some more shots to the video to potentially improve the music video.

Artist Logo.

The logo consists of a cup filled with 'purple drank' a drink consisting of sprite and codeine. The drink is being poured out spelling out the rappers name. I have decided to make this the artist logo because it is convetional to the genre, also a lot of other rappers such as Z-Ro, Kirko Bangz, Drake and Meek Mill have reffered to it in their songs.
